Metal Shed Makeover
A metal shed is a really functional building that a lot of us need, but might wish that we didn’t. You might think, “Well, extra storage space for tools and other items is great, but what the heck am I going to do with a little metal building? Isn’t it going to look out of place in my back yard?” It honestly doesn’t have to. There are lots of little perks to owning a metal shed that will allow you to make it seem right at home on your property, and ultimately increase your property’s value with its presence.
A metal shed doesn’t have to look like a metal shed.
That sounds like an oxymoron, but it can actually be true. By using all the customization options available to you, you can color-match your metal shed to your house, make it look like a classy playhouse for your kids, or simply decorate it in such a way that it does not appear plain or “industrial”. By choosing from different roof styles and gables, you are able to match your house in features as well, bringing the two buildings together and making your shed seem like it really belongs.
Installing attractive windows and doors are great ways to give your shed a little something extra. We also recommend planting flowers, bushes, or small trees around the perimeter of your shed. This will make it look as though your shed has a meaningful place in your yard, and not as though it is a temporary transplant. Finally, think about decorating a little bit. A barn star over the door, or a wooden sign reading “Joe’s Workshop” can be nice, homey touches that make your shed feel less industrial.
