Carport.com buildings use American 14-gauge galvanized frames, optional 12-gauge, and 29-gauge sheeting. They are used as carports, garages, barns, shops, warehouses, sheds, and shelters — one system, different layouts.

Metal building vs. stick-built?

Steel members arrive cut; a crew sets the building on a level pad in about 30 days in our program. Wood framing takes longer, needs more finish work, and can rot or attract insects. Steel is a clear span. Stick-built can be easier to insulate as a house — many of our customers add insulation later on a shop.

What gauge steel does Carport.com use?
